By playing on any of our servers you agree to these rules. Failing to read or take the time to understand them is not an adequate excuse for breaking them. It is your responsibility to know them and the staff are simply there to enforce the rules, not explain them to you beforehand.

Each situation will vary greatly from the next. These rules are a guideline for players as to what will/can be done if a rule is broken. Staff may decide to act differently depending on the situation. The punishments outlined in the rules below are just guidelines and may be changed to result in a more forgivable punishment or even a harsher one, depending on the situation. If you have not broken any of our rules before (i.e. a first time offender), depending on the rule that is broken, you may be given a lighter sentence than what is outlined.

If you believe that you have been mistreated as a result of one of these rules, please inform either Lee (Owner) or Assassin (Head Admin) and the situation will be dealt with in an appropriate and confidential way.

(These rules we last updated on March - 5 - 2018)

  • Server Rules

  • 1. Be respectful to everyone.

    What does this mean?

To keep it simple - do not mock, undermine, belittle, attempt to make fun of, abuse, swear at, or generally be disrespectful to anyone on our network. This includes when they are there and when they aren't online. You are also not allowed to disrespect the server in the game or on the forums.

    Exceptions

The one and only exception is if you are having some fun between friends and everyone knows there is no meaning behind the action. Should anyone ask you to stop you must do so. Abuse or harassment will not be tolerated.

    Punishment

Serious cases can result in a permanent ban both in-game and on the forums.

  • 2. No Overuse of caps & English only in Global

    What does this mean?

Chat should be kept free of cap spam as it makes things easier to read and all caps is unnecessary. We also allow only English to be spoken within the global chat of our servers for the sake of communications.

    Exceptions

If you are in your own chat where only you and your friends can see (i.e. private message or the /party system), then you are allowed to speak however you wish to.

    Punishment

This will always result in a warning to begin with.

  • 3. No hacking, duping, or exploiting in any way, shape, or form.

    What does this mean?

Using, benefiting, or gaining an unfair advantage from anything that was not intended in the game is absolutely forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to: exploiting a plugin/extension error or bug, exploiting a website error, exploiting a glitch or bug, etc. This rule also covers that which may result from temporary mistakes made by the staff, any TPA glitches/bugs, any half-block bugs, as well as any dupe function not otherwise intended by the game.

    Exceptions

There are no exceptions to this rule, anyone caught abusing these will be punished.

    Punishment

If reported to staff promptly and effectively we will remove any ill-gained items that resulted from the issue. However, if you intend to go unnoticed and are abusing an exploit you can expect to be banned and have any and all results of your gains reset or deleted.

  • 4. Do not purposefully lag or crash the server.

    What does this mean?

Do not intentionally create or use something that you know will cause server problems. If you discover anything that causes such problems it must be reported to a staff member as soon as possible.

    Exceptions

There are no exceptions to this rule. Anyone found to be intentionally causing server problems will be punished.

    Punishment

Depending on the severity of the incident, this can vary from a simple warning to a permanent ban.

  • 5. Do not grief, raid or steal.

    What does this mean?

We are very strict when it comes to griefing, raiding, and stealing incidents as this is considered a serious issue. We operate a zero tolerance to griefing on all of our servers.

Simply put: if you did not create or place it, it is not yours to take.

    Exceptions

There are no exceptions to this rule. All griefing incidents are punished with a ban that can range from 1 day to permanent. 7 day bans and above can be appealed.

    Punishment

This will vary depending on the incident, but can range from a 1 day ban to permanent.

  • 6. Do not harass other players.

    What does this mean?

Do not harass other players in any way. This means that if someone asks you to stop doing something to them, then you stop.

    Exceptions

There is no exception to this rule.

    Punishment

This can vary from a simple warning to a permanent ban.

  • 7. Do not advertise another server.

    What does this mean?

While you are using Modded Minecraft servers, do not promote any other server besides official MMC servers. This includes IP addresses or asking people to join a server name. It also includes asking people to Skype or IM for the express purpose of giving out IPs (when evident in MMC only). A lot of time was put into building MMC's player base, so as such we do not appreciate anyone attempting to draw people away for their own selfish ends.

    Exceptions

You may mention a server name in general conversation, talking about something that happened. However, you may not promote, generally compare, or encourage other players to join another server. This doesn't mean you can't talk positively about the server, it just means don't be excessive using the chat to praise it.

    Punishment

This will result in an instant mute / ban.

  • 8. Do not spam in any way.

    What does this mean?

We like to keep the chat as readable as possible so we greatly appreciate that no user excessively fills the chat with messages of any type intentionally.

    Exceptions:

If you are unable to control the level at which a message is sent into the chat then it is okay. If there is nothing you can do about it then there is nothing that you can do.

    Punishment:

Intentionally spamming the chat will most likely result in being muted and, in more severe cases, could result in a ban.

  • 9. No forms of Racism, Sexism or Homophobia.

    What does this mean?

This is essentially an extension of rule #1, but has a broader range to cover the entire topic. We do not tolerate anyone whom engages in racism, sexism, or homophobia in any form on our servers or website.

    Exceptions:

There are no exceptions to this rule.

    Punishment:

Depending on the severity and context of the situation this can range from a simple warning to a permanent ban.

  • 10. Respect other players space.

    What does this mean?

Please take into consideration other player's building space and do not intrude on an area of land just because it is not claimed yet.

    Punishment:

This is usually sorted with a relocation of the intruding player with help from a staff member if needed.

  • 11. Do not ask about staff! Trialmod apps are on our website.

    What does this mean?

We do not like being asked about open positions for staff. Since we do not accept just anyone to join our team each application is reviewed and discussed beforehand, and as such, there may be a delay in our reply to your Trialmod application. Please be patient, and in the mean time do not ask about it.

  • 12. Do not ask staff to use their powers for personal gain.

    What does this mean?

The staff are not personal helpers for every little thing that you need. We do not like being asked to spawn in items or use our tools to benefit yourself or a friend. If we give special treatment to one player, we must do the same for everyone and that is not our function.

    Exceptions:

If you are working on a community project, for example, and want to have the land levelled or some other large world edit, you can ask a staff member about getting that done. Depending on the situation we may have to decline your request. Repeated or excessive requests should be avoided.

  • 13. Use of any methods to bypass AFK timers will not be tolerated.

    What does this mean?

We have an AFK timer set at 10 minutes for a reason. This is to both prevent idle users taking up server resources for no reason and to unload chunks that do not need to be loaded at that time.

    Exceptions:

Aurora rank has explicit permission to not be kicked by this untill 1 hour has passed.

    Punishment:

Usually this will result in a ban which can be appealed.

  • 14. Strictly 2 Quantum Quarries max per base.

    What does this mean?

Quantum quarries can cause major TPS issues if left unregulated. We ask that people use them responsibly otherwise we will have no choice other than to ban them from use.

    Punishment:

Overuse of quantum quarries can result in them being removed with no refund or warning.
